Due to the government shutdown, on November 1 – without immediate action by Congress – federal funding for SNAP will run out. This means in a matter of days, tens of millions of Americans, including children, will go hungry.
The “Keep SNAP Funded Act” is bipartisan legislation that would ensure SNAP is fully funded any time there is a shutdown in fiscal year 2026, including the current shutdown. It also allows for benefits to be distributed to SNAP recipients retroactively.
Please email your members of Congress and urge them to support and vote for passage of the Keep SNAP Funded Act.
