Food for Peace is one of the U.S. government’s most important global food assistance programs. For 70 years, the program has reached more than four billion people in 150 countries with both emergency humanitarian support and resilience-building programs. Unfortunately, the House has passed legislation that would make devastating funding cuts to Food for Peace and impose new requirements that would prevent food aid from being distributed efficiently and with the best use of U.S. taxpayer dollars.
Urge your members of Congress to reauthorize and fully fund Food for Peace without imposing requirements that would hinder the effectiveness and reach of the program.
This will look up your specific members of Congress on the next page.
